Privacy Policy

1. Tool input never leaves your browser

Every tool on UtilityDock runs entirely client-side. Text you paste, files you drop, passwords you generate and manifests you build are processed by JavaScript running in your own browser tab. That data is never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never logged. You can confirm this by opening your browser's network tab, or by disconnecting from the internet and continuing to use the tools.

2. The assistant is the one exception

The assistant is the only feature on this site that transmits anything you type. It cannot work otherwise: the language model does not run on your device. This is stated on the page itself, and there is deliberately no chat widget on the tool pages, so the two can never be confused.

When you send a message there, its text is passed to OpenRouter, which routes it to whichever free model answers. Those providers handle the message under their own policies, which we do not control. Do not send credentials, private keys, production tokens or personal data.

We do not store your conversation. The transcript is kept in your own browser's local storage so it survives a reload, and pressing New chat or clearing site data removes it. We keep no copy.

To keep the free capacity usable, the assistant applies an hourly message allowance per visitor. Counting it requires distinguishing one visitor from another, so we store a salted cryptographic hash of your IP address together with a request count and a time window — never the address itself, and nothing about what you sent. Those records are short-lived and are used for nothing else. The page is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a human opened it; Cloudflare receives your IP address as part of that check.

3. Advertising and cookies

We serve advertisements through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and it receives your IP address and browser information as any third-party script on a page does. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits across the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Ad delivery is entirely separate from the tools — the advertising scripts have no access to what you type into them.

4. Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not build cross-site profiles or identify individual visitors. It records which pages are visited and, where enabled, which tools are used and which searches return no result — the last of these is what decides which tool gets built next.

The analytics script is served from this domain rather than a third-party host, so no request about your visit leaves our infrastructure.

No event ever contains the content of what you typed into a tool. Generated passwords, pasted payloads and file contents are never included in an analytics event of any kind.

We also collect anonymous page-performance measurements (Core Web Vitals) through Vercel Speed Insights, which records loading and responsiveness timings and no personal data.

5. Page-view counter

A visit counter records the path of the page you landed on so the footer can display a running total. No identifier, IP address or session is attached to that record.

6. Data stored on your device

Some preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device, and are never transmitted: your light or dark theme choice, your pinned tools, your recently used tools, and small per-tool settings such as your preferred indentation. Clearing site data for this domain removes all of them.

7. Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested path and timestamp — as part of serving the site. This is used for reliability and abuse prevention only. It never includes tool input, because tool input is never sent to the server.

8. Children

This site is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
